Being thankful!

Usually someone expresses thoughts of thankfulness around Thanksgiving time; yet sitting here in my new apartment thinking about all the ins and outs and how God has provided for me and my wife Jessica these last few months I can’t help but be thankful. Recently Jessica and I left our home of nine years in Fort Myers, Florida to pursue the calling of God and moved out to Glendale, Arizona. It’s beautiful out here! You could be having the worst day and all you have to do is look at the mountains and your problems melt away like wax. The true beauty comes from being in the center of God’s will. After two weeks of painting, organizing, selling, buying, and hanging decor on the walls, we finally have our place looking like home. Jeremiah 29:11-14 says “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me. I will be found by you,” says the Lord, “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations were I sent you and bring you home again to your own land.”

For the first time in a long time I feel like I’m home. If you’re struggling to hear the voice of God then seek him out. He says you will find him when you seek and he will listen to your prayers! Sometimes it’s hard for me to believe that the creator of heaven and earth, the one who is the I Am and who will always be, cares for me and wants to bless me. Seek his will for your life! Crave him! I promise when you’re resting in the center of his will there is no greater place. Thank you God for your unfailing love! Thank you for your blessings! I don’t deserve the love you give but you give it freely… thank you!

I love it when I am in need of some guidance and I get a blog in my google reader that really clarifies things for me. Thank you Jason for your encouraging words. I know I can always count on your God given wisdom to give me a little push in the right direction. I am enjoying all the new scriptures I have been reading and hearing lately. Their applications on my life is amazing.
You are truly a blessing to all that know you.
