Have you ever been in a season of life where you think things should be moving faster than they are? Feeling like you are waiting at the DMV and no ones calling your number. It’s easy to get frustrated and try to push along this process with your own strength. After all God gave you this dream, and now its your job to make it happen right? Wrong. This can cause frustration, fatigue, and despair. Feelings of breaking through a wall only to find another behind it. What do we do in these times? Jesus says in Matt 11:28 “Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.” So many times we are fighting these battles on our own when we have Christ right there wanting to carry us. We just have to say the words, “Jesus I surrender to your process.” Admitting our dependence upon Jesus is not weakness. It’s there we will find our true strength. We can either continue to live our lives in a constant frenzy trying to do things on our own, or we can submit to His process and have a life of blessing. The fullness of these blessings depend on walking with God and yielding to His Spirit. I love the Message Interpretation of Matt 11:28 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest.” We will never find “real rest” until we surrender to Christ and His process. God gives us dreams to see what we will do with them. Will we close our fists tightly living a life of frustration wondering why its not happening quick enough? Or will we open our hands freely, and give the dream back to the creator? How can we receive more blessings if we have a closed hand? I choose to open my hands. I choose to recover my life. I choose to surrender to Jesus and His process. I choose to patiently wait. I choose to rest in His Spirit. When we do that, we will find meaning and purpose to our lives that we would have never found on our own.
Committed to a change!
